In honor of Elul, the Jewish month of introspection, we’re posting this video we made for Ohel.
OHEL Children’s Home is one of our favorite clients. For this video, Shmuel walked around Brooklyn and Queens asking people “What’s standing in the way of your being happy?”
We borrowed this concept from the film series, fiftypeopleonequestion.
The answers are quite interesting. What’s most interesting is how people really take a bit of time to get real with their answers. Some of the answers are really tragic. But my biggest takeaway from this video is how the disabled girl seems to be one of the happiest, while some of the other people don’t really seem to appreciate the blessings that they have. Of course, it’s easier for us to see this when their video clips come one after another, and of course, we cannot compare anyone’s problem’s without seeing the context of their lives.
But it just makes ya think. For me, it stands as a good reminder to be happy with my lot.
