After two years in Beta, Pinterest has announced that registration to their site is now open to the public.
If you are like me this announcement hasn’t affected you too much because you’re already pinning away with many boards to your name. But way back when, you had to email the Pinterest team with a request for an invitation and then wait in eager anticipation until they responded. Not anymore.
In preparation for this change, Pinterest announced that it would be adding a few new categories and changing the names of others, to help users categorize their pins more easily.
Pinterest has already shown itself to be one of the most popular social media networks, right behind Twitter and Facebook, and it is loads of fun.
