My wife just gave a presentation the other day about the general development and importance of social media for today’s businesses and life in general. I happened to film it and here it is. I think it’s really an eye-opener that will help us to understand why social media is not just a gimmick. Rather it’s a way of communication that is slowly but surely becoming the world’s primary form of communication. Social media will easily become one of the most successful career tools in history.
So, without any further ado, here she is.
Please tell us what you think. I think she is a great presenter and I’m really proud that she is doing these speaking gigs for people. Thank you my dearest soulmate ; )

Great job, Margalit!
Thanks for the support Debra! 🙂
Enjoyed this presentation. You mentioned that “in a 2009 study, on-line students outperformed students receiving face-to-face instruction.” Can you please tell me which study this was? Thanks,
Hi Ilene,
Here it is in the New York Times.

I love this video! It really answers the question of “why social media?” for the average business. I hope you don’t mind if I embed it in my blog. Also I’ve never met you – so it was nice to see you in action!
Awesome. Thanks for reposting it.
Thanks so much Naomi! Please send me a link to your blog post once it’s up! 🙂 Nice to “meet” you. The fact that we’ve never met in person but have talked so much already is testament to the new world that we live in.
Not bad – but I recommend that the slides be polished up, and she be in charge of the next slide! Also, She said Facebook, is just behind the US in size, but that’s not true – Facebook already passed the 500 million mark last July – see http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38310046/ns/technology_and_science-tech_and_gadgets/ -and I believe the US is only at 300M.
Thanks for the feedback, Broderick!
FB numbers are internally generated, include defunct accounts, and have no 3rd party review or audit, so why would anyone accept them without verification????
Following up on our LinkedIn conversation, you yourself said it’s close to impossible to track! Do you have a blog or somewhere you can share your expertise on all of this? I’d love to follow.
Thanks.
I use the information for my In Business4Good projects on a customized research basis. I looked at FB when it was rising, and as soon as it became a digital foil for MSoft, I lost interest.

Great summation of the on line world we live in today. There’s somethiing in there for the novice and also a refresher for those who consider themselves experts !
Hi Paul,
I’m so happy you found it useful!
Margelit
hi margelit, that was great! I watched the whole thing, and learned a lot. Maybe you could make more intro videos on social media like this?
Thanks for watching Jenny! More videos to come, I hope!
Great use of humor! Loved your video.
Thanks Zev! 🙂
